Newhome has a rat problem. Ordinary rats—the kind that eat grain and carry disease—this frontier village could handle. But these rats grow as big as cats and fight like wolves. Newhomers tried poison, fire, even axes, but the rats just got bolder. Goats went missing. Old Man Johnson screamed when the rats dragged him into the darkness. Newhome needs help, and the locals will empty their coffers if it means putting this problem to rest. Luckily, the heroes just happen to be in the area. Will they help these settlers save their community?
