A terrible threat casts a shadow across a range of low, green mountains, over a place somehow spared from the biological, environmental, and radioactive catastrophe that transformed the world of before into the Wasteland. Bold scavengers, in service to diabolical masters, scour the scrap heaps of the past in search of valuable technology, while mutants gather in their enclave bracing themselves for war, and the innocents find themselves caught, as usual, in the middle of a coming catastrophe.
